{"id":801,"date":"2012-01-30T17:14:05","date_gmt":"2012-01-30T15:14:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.refernet.lv\/?p=801"},"modified":"2012-06-22T11:21:54","modified_gmt":"2012-06-22T08:21:54","slug":"reflection-on-the-conference-%e2%80%9cthe-role-of-sectors-and-employers-in-the-development-of-vocational-education%e2%80%9d-19-01-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/refernet.aic.lv\/?p=801&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Reflection on the conference \u201cThe Role of Sectors and Employers in the Development of Vocational Education\u201d (19.01.2012)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>On January 19<\/strong> (2012), the State Education Development Agency in cooperation with the Employers\u2019 Confederation of Latvia, Free Trade Union Confederation of Latvia, National Centre for Education, and State Education Quality Service organized the conference \u201c<strong>The Role of Sectors and Employers in the Development of Vocational Education<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The event was attended by 220 participants, including minister of economics <strong>Mr Daniels Pav\u013cuts<\/strong>; minister of welfare <strong>Ms Ilze Vi\u0146\u0137ele<\/strong>; <strong>Mr J\u0101nis Gaigals<\/strong>, Director of Vocational Education and General Education Department of the Ministry of Education and Science; representatives of 12 Sectoral Expert Councils established in terms of ESF project \u201cDevelopment of sectoral qualifications system and increasing the efficiency and quality of vocational education\u201d;  managers of enterprises; representatives from sectoral professional organizations; as well as heads of vocational education establishments and colleges.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the conference research process and initial research results in 12 most important economic sectors were presented and also tasks of the Sectoral Expert Councils were outlined. Furthermore, four Sectoral Expert Councils informed about their involvement in the issues related to vocational education.
