The competition concluded on 27 August 2019 in Kazan, Russia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Latvian team members received the following\nmedals for excellence:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>4<sup>th<\/sup> place for Lu\u012bze\nMihailova (Vocational Education Competence Centre \u201cLiepaja Secondary School of\nMusic, Art and Design\u201d) in shop window decoration;<\/li><li>6<sup>th<\/sup> place for Madara\nMinina (Riga Tourism and Creative Industry Technical School) in restaurant\nservices;<\/li><li>18<sup>th<\/sup> place for Nils\n\u0122\u0113vele (Malpils Vocational Secondary School) in cooking.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In order for contestants to receive medal\nof excellence they must obtain 700 out of 799 points. Out of 63 member states,\nLatvia was ranked 23<sup>rd<\/sup> overall in points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More than 1300 young professionals from 63\ncountries competing in 56 skills competitions participated in WorldSkills 2019\ncompetition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">WorldSkills competition for young\nprofessionals takes place every second year. Currently, organisation \u201cWorldSkills\nInternational\u201d has 82 member states from around the world.
