During the conference skills competitions for vocational education students were arranged in eight disciplines. Latvia was represented by seven students: four from Riga Food Producers Vocational School (<em>R\u012bgas P\u0101rtikas ra\u017eot\u0101ju vidusskola<\/em>) and three students from Kuldiga Technology and Tourism Vocational Secondary School (<em>Kuld\u012bgas Tehnolo\u0123iju un t\u016brisma profesion\u0101l\u0101 vidusskola<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Latvian students took part in four competitions \u2013 Culinary Art, Pastry, Restaurant Service and Wine Serving, Tourist Destination \u2013 and competed with at least 30 teams.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">More achievements Latvian students gained in the competitions of culinary art, pastry and tourist destination.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Culinary Art:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>golden medal was awarded to <strong>Kristaps Sarma<\/strong>, Riga Food Producers Vocational School.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pastry:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>silver medal was awarded to <strong>R\u016bta Za\u013cecka<\/strong>, Kuldiga Technology and Tourism Vocational Secondary School.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tourist Destination:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>golden medal was awarded to <strong>Krista Veinberga<\/strong>, Kuldiga Technology and Tourism Vocational Secondary School;<\/li>\n<li>silver medal was awarded to <strong>Toms Gaidulis<\/strong>, Riga Food Producers Vocational School.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The website of this year events is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aeht2012.mk\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"><em>Source: MoES, AEHT<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small; color: #808080;\"><em>5.11.2012.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On October 8-13 (2012), in Ohrid, Macedonia 25th Annual Conference of the European Association of Hotel and Tourism Schools (AEHT) was held engaging more than 600 participants from 30 countries.
