In the competition 24 digitalization projects have been approved and will be implemented in practice. Among the winners there are two vocational education establishments \u2013 <strong>Riga State Technical School<\/strong> (<em>R\u012bgas Valsts tehnikums<\/em>)  with the project \u201cDevelopment of integrated learning aids in vocational education\u201d and <strong>Ogre State Technical School<\/strong> (<em>Ogres Valsts tehnikums<\/em>) with the project  \u201cInteractive way towards culturology\u201d. The projects may be commenced already since 3 September 2012.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This project competition was initiated in July 2012 inviting education establishments, education boards in local governments, associations, foundations and teachers\u2019 associations to submit ideas for elaborating electronic learning aids and for conducting their development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The aim of this project competition is to promote the use of innovations in education, teachers\u2019 development and acquiring new knowledge in the work with the latest technologies and equipment applicable in learning process. Two priorities were supported in the competition:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Elaboration of electronic learning aids \u2013 product to be used in a certain study subject programme or interdisciplinary and corresponding to the requirements of education content stated in legal regulations;<\/li>\n<li>Sketches or ideas for the  elaboration of electronic learning aids \u2013 idea, sketch, draft, description of idea to be developed and integrated into study subject programme in future; as well as corresponds to the requirements of education content stated in legal regulations and is presented in such stage that it would be possible to digitalize in the next phase.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\"><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><em>Source: VIAA<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\"><span style=\"color: #888888;\"><em>3.09.2012<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>State Education Development Agency has announced the results of project competition dealing with introducing innovations in education for 2012.
